Hatboro is located in southeastern Pennsylvania, approximately 25 miles north of center city Philadelphia. Located in eastern Montgomery County, its borders are as follows:
- North - Warminster (Bucks County)
- South - Upper Moreland Township - Willow Grove (Montgomery County)
- East - Upper Moreland Township (Montgomery County)
- West - Upper Moreland Township "panhandle" section and Horsham (Montgomery County).
Note: There are no shared borders with Horsham Township. The thin Upper Moreland panhandle separates the Borough of Hatboro and Horsham Township.
