First Friday Hatboro, a celebration of the arts held from 6-9 p.m. the first Friday of every month in the borough's business district, was launched April 4, 2008. It was organized by a committee of business owners, residents, and directors of the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce under whose auspices it operates. Thirty stores, restaurants and service providers initially signed on to fly the gold and black FFH flag and host live music, art and cultural events, all free to the public. Now some 50 businesses support the event. Prime sponsor of FFH is Hatboro Federal Savings, headquartered in Hatboro. The mission of the Breathing Room Foundation is to reach out to every family within a twenty-mile radius who has a member suffering from cancer. We recognize that a cancer diagnosis affects every aspect of a family’s life; emotional, physical, spiritual, and financial. We strive to provide a family with whatever it is that will allow them a bit of “breathing room” from their daily struggle against cancer.
