Pet Guardian Education, a non-profit organization, offers series of lectures on human-animal relationship possibilities. These three Tuesdays will address the developmental issues of dogs and of humans. Will discuss how each species is affected by its own developmental processes and that of the other, and to what extent understanding this information is vital to discovering the potential of mutually satisfying relationships between the two species; human and canine

Happy the Hatter In the month in which the bounty of the Harvest is celebrated, First Friday Hatboro will sponsor its 2nd Annual Harvest Fest Food Drive, donating the goods collected to food pantries in the borough. Collection booths for non-perishable goods are at Impact Thrift, 14 E. Moreland Ave., The Kidz Klub, 15 S. York Rd. and McMackin Tire Service at York & Moreland Rds.

NOVEMBER HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Celebrate the New Year early with the MUMMERS ALL-STARS, who will be strutting their stuff.
  • The Breathing Room Foundation’s SHOP FOR A CAUSE HOLIDAY SHOPPING EVENT at The Red Barn Mall, 120 S. York, features unique gifts from local artisans and benefits families dealing with cancer.
  • OPEN MIC NIGHT at The Kidz Klub - Sing, dance, do karate, read poetry or show your other creative talents. Listen to the music of Hatboro's own EXHIBIT A band.
  • Two of the area's premiere vocal groups, CELESTIA and THE MESSENGERS, will sing a blend of contemporary and gospel favorites at Hatboro Baptist Church's Heavenly Brew Cafe.
  • Local favorite, ELVIS PRETZEL, will entertain visitors at Village Pretzel.
  • LIZ COLLINS ‘UNPLUGGED” will be performing at the Impact Thrift Store from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Enjoy the music of the acoustic folk/rock duo, JACK N BRENDA at the This N That Gift Shoppe
  • SPECIAL LIVE EVENT - watch artist Todd Marone create NIGHTLINE, a mural-sized line painting, in a single night at Primer Microstudio on Byberry Ave.
  • MAKE YOUR OWN HOLIDAY CARDS. Kranberry Kupboard offers classes in card making and stitchery.
First Friday Hatboro is a celebration of the arts held the first Friday of each month in the borough's business district. Presented by the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce, First Friday is hosted by the merchants in downtown Hatboro who offer art, entertainment and activities in their establishments. Gold First Friday flags displayed outside business establishments - located along York Road and its side streets from just below Horsham Road at the south end of town to Summit Avenue at the north - signal free entertainment or an activity.

The Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce celebrates the opening of its new office with a multi-Chamber Business Card Exchange. The ribbon cutting will take place at 6 p.m. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Our 2nd ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE will be held during First Friday Hatboro to benefit Hatboro food pantries for the holidays. A collection bin for non-perishable food items will be at the new office.

Location: York Road, starting at Newington Drive and traveling north to Summit Ave.
Time: 2 p.m. Rain or Shine.
Admission: Free.

Santa & Mrs Santa arrive in 2007
'Music, Music, Music' is this year's theme.
Spectators are asked to bring items
for the Toys for Tots campaign.

Traditionally drawing more than 50,000 spectators, the parade will begin at 2 p.m., traveling along York Road from Newington Drive in Upper Moreland Township at the south end of the borough, to Summit Avenue at the north.

Area residents who are unable to attend the parade can catch their favorite marching band or see Santa arrive tuning into their local government cable stations. VT3, Venture Scouts from Hatboro Troop 3, will film the parade for rebroadcast.
